You must have special privileges to use this feature.
This is the process used to sens mail to a lot of users. Appened are some instructions for taking a practice run.
1. FInd the "User management" menu item and submenu "Users" option. Or use this link http://se17.bowdoin.edu/admin/user/user/advuser
2. Click on the "Advanced" tab. This will open a page that allows you to filter and select users as needed for bulk operations.
First page of a 'book', i.e., the 'top level.' Books automatically generate a 'TOC' (Table of Contents).
Using HTML, you may create content areas above the 'TOC'.
This is the content-type 'Journal article.' Following a save, it is added to a book using the 'Outline' feature.

This page was created as a 'Journal article' content-type and then, usign the "Outline" feature, it was defined as a new book. It is being used to demonstrate and/or prototype the way books work in SE17. Subsequently, new 'Journal article' content-type pages were added and this page will be the TOC and more...
