Job Description

The World Languages Department at Covenant College, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning July 1, 2022.  

The candidate who fills this position will be expected to teach a wide range of courses at the undergraduate level in supporting the French major and program and the general education requirement for language. 

The Department of Romance Studies at Cornell University seeks to hire a temporary, full-time, Visiting Lecturer to teach first and second year French language courses. This position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on need and funding. The successful candidate will have professional teaching experience in higher education, and native or near-native proficiency in English. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.A. or Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in the target language or linguistics, Foreign Language Education or a related field.

The Wabash College Department of Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for a postdoctoral teaching position in French beginning July 1, 2022. The field is open, but with preference for a Francophone specialist. The successful candidate will teach language, culture, and literature courses. Other requirements include native or near-native fluency in French, evidence of excellence in teaching, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse student body. PhD in hand at time of appointment is preferred; ABD status considered.

The Department of French and Italian at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of two years, beginning fall semester of 2022, and will carry the rank of Lecturer.
