Visiting Assistant Professor in French Language
Beginning September 2015, a three-year renewable position teaching French language at all levels in a dynamic liberal arts program in French. We are seeking a committed and outstanding language pedagogue. In addition to teaching five courses over the academic year, the successful candidate will also: offer a colloquium presentation once a year on new developments in language pedagogy and technology in the classroom; work closely with French Teaching Associates; and serve as a liaison to the Language Lab Director regarding new foreign language technologies. Candidates should: have native or near-native fluency in French; provide evidence of demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching of the French language at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels; and hold a Ph.D. in French Language and Literature, or in French Language Pedagogy, or in French Applied Linguistics.
