Applicants should submit a cover letter, a description of their research program (no more than 1800 words), a brief proposal for a seminar in theory and methods of interest and use for students in a range of subfields, and a curriculum vitae. Applicants who have not completed their doctoral work should indicate, in their cover letters, how many chapters of their dissertation are complete and how complete the remaining chapters are. Cover letters should include all relevant contact information and the applicant’s name should appear on each page of all application materials. Applicants should also arrange for the submission of three confidential letters of recommendation.
