Assistant Professor of French, Washington & Jefferson College

The Department of Modern Languages at Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French teaching 6 undergraduate courses per year at all levels of French language, literature and culture, beginning in the fall of 2020.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies. Specialization in pre-19th century or contemporary French and Francophone studies preferred. Required: native or near-native fluency in French and English; demonstrated excellence in teaching; and clear interest in advising students, study abroad, program expansion, coordinating extracurricular and outreach activities, and scholarship. Experience and interest in interdisciplinary programs and collaboration desirable.
