Assistant Professor of French

Full-time, tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor, with primary research interests in seventeenth- and/or eighteenth-century French theater, to begin on July 1, 2016.  Secondary research interests in any combination of the following are highly desirable: history, cultural studies, literary theory, film studies.  An interest in teaching “French theater in performance” as a means of developing students’ advanced-level oral skills in French is also highly desirable.

The teaching load is two courses per semester.
